A Scratch Junior Lab

This workshop is part of the SoBA [Song, Book, Art] and STEAMSS [Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math+Social Studies] program, but it is more of a technology lab. We hope to have one workshop per month where students can work strictly on the technology - the "T" in STEM and STEAM.

Time? After-school 

Scratch Jr. is an app for kids that teaches them how to think like computer programmers. In this lab, kids will learn how to:

• Change the look of characters

  • hair color

  • skin color

  • clothing and more\

• Make characters move

• Make characters speak to each other (like in the comic books)

• Create a background scene
